Overview

We are looking for an accounts payable clerk, who will be responsible for processing payment requests, issuing payments, and maintaining accurate and complete record of vendor transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Reconcile vendor invoices to purchase orders and shipping documents
  • Record non-stock and employee expenses to appropriate cost centers and reconcile to supporting documentation
  • Reconcile monthly vendor statements to internal records
  • Issue payments to vendors in a timely manner
  • Issue invoices to drop ship customers
  • Liaise externally with vendor contacts and internally with warehouse, purchasing, engineering and accounting personnel to resolve issues
  • Maintain and update master vendor listing as needed
  • Create ad hoc vendor reports as needed
  • Fulfill year-end audit requests

Ideal Candidate Will Possess the Following Skills and Abilities

  • Prior accounts payable experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Outlook and Excel)
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles
  • High attention to detail
  • Able to investigate problems independently
  • Able to establish good working relationships with others
  • Can easily adapt to changes in daily routine
  • Willing and able to provide unplanned support to other team members
