  • Overview

    The Refrigeration Mechanic will perform installations, maintenance, pipe-fitting, and repairs of commercial refrigeration equipment.

    Responsibilities

    • Install, repair, and perform pipe-fitting of commercial refrigeration equipment and hanger systems as indicated in construction documents (including but not limited to compressor racks, condensing units, walk-in units, refrigerated cases, and ice machines).
    • Evaluate construction and installation problems and determines the appropriate solutions; Determines the materials and hardware needed to perform quality work; Ensures project deadlines are met.
    • Unload and haul materials from trucks.
    • Ensure that all equipment is in working order and utilizes the appropriate tools.
    • Comply with all applicable health and safety regulations, policies, and established work practices.

    Ideal Candidate Will Possess the Following Skills and Abilities

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Vocational certificate and/or apprenticeship is preferred.
    • Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
    • Must successfully complete a background check.
    • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
    • This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, stooping, and crouching.
