  • Overview

    The Project Engineer is an essential member of the project management team and supports the planning, coordination, execution, completion, and final outcomes of construction projects. The successful candidate applies his/her technical knowledge in all facets of project management including but not limited to cost analysis, contract administration, project procurement, scheduling, and quality controls.  This position is vital in ensuring that projects are completed in accordance with scheduling requirements, financial goals, and customer expectations.



    • Assist Project Managers in planning and coordinating construction efforts from the time of the project's conception to completion.
    • Support all aspects of construction projects including but not limited to site visits, estimating/bidding, purchase orders, managing punch lists, RFI's, and follow-up throughout project milestones.
    • Partner with the project management and estimating teams with equipment releases, shop drawings for custom/fabrication items, color selections, and utility information to release equipment timely, accurately, and within budget.
    • Coordinate project startups and track lead times.
    • Follow-up on submittals, change orders, and RFI's.
    • Maintain punch-lists, job folders, and as-built drawings.
    • Review and process purchase orders.
    • Order parts and other required materials for project completion.
    • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers.

    Ideal Candidate Will Possess the Following Skills and Abilities

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, architecture, or related fields from an accredited college or university.
    • Strong mathematical skills.
    • A valid driver's license and good driving record.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • High proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment.
    • Must be pro-active, results-oriented, and able to take ownership of work responsibilities and projects.
    • Strong ability to perform complex tasks with minimal supervision and be able to work independently and within a team
