  • Overview

    The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for assisting, organizing, and tracking project goods and materials to ensure items are ordered as specified, shipped on time as acknowledged, received undamaged and delivered to the job as requested by project managers. The Project Coordinator is an integral member of the project management team ensuring goods are available as needed to complete projects. This position functions as a liaison between Project Managers, contractors, vendors and other stakeholders.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Partner with manufacturers and their representatives in order to resolve discrepancies such as missing or incorrect orders, ship dates, deliveries, unshipped freight, and returned equipment.
    • Manage logistics for the shipping and delivery of equipment for inbound, outbound, and offsite.
    • Communicate with 3rd party warehouses to obtain dock receipts and packing slips.
    • Prepare and maintain receiving reports daily.
    • Negotiate freight claims.
    • Coordinate project related equipment, resources, and other requirements including but not limited to cranes, forklifts, additional trucking.

    Ideal Candidate Will Possess the Following Skills and Abilities

    • High School diploma or equivalent;
    • Minimum of 1 year of related experience, construction business environment preferred;
    • Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team environment;
    • Must be able to work independently while handling multiple priorities and responsibilities;
    • Must have strong problem-solving, time management, organization, and customer service skills.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required;
    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
