  • Overview

    The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the logistics associated with projects including tracking and delivery of orders after Purchase Orders are issued. The Logistics Coordinator must be self-motivated with high energy and the ability to interact with numerous individuals, in multiple functions, in a dynamic and changing environment.


    • Maintain tracking system for orders following issuance of purchase orders
    • Enter order confirmation into the tracking system
    • Verify confirmations from vendors against purchase orders to confirm accuracy
    • Track shipments
    • Work with vendors on ship dates/ delivery/ delays/ date concerns
    • Review warehouse receiving reports for accuracy
    • Manage the general Singer EVI email account and process orders as required
    • Work with Purchasing and Project Manager teams to communicate status and action required (revised PO, the need for shop drawings to be released, pricing concerns)
    • Notify customers of pending appointments for deliveries, service calls, etc. Work closely with Logistics Manager to ensure customer notification timely and effective.
    • Update Singer EVI records as required to reflect information pertaining to customer history
    • Communicate both internally and externally regarding logistics for projects, reporting all issues promptly to the proper person 
    • Foster a productive relationship with manufacturers and representatives.
    • Maintenance of corporate files (paper and electronic) related to logistical and service activities
    • Special projects as requested
    • Answer phones and assist customers

    Ideal Candidate Will Possess the Following Skills and Abilities

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Proficiency using Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office including Outlook, and other systems utilized by the company
    • Ability to negotiate discounts and pricing related to logistical requirements where possible
    • Proficiency in the use of standard office equipment
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
    • Expand knowledge of other jobs within the organization. Expected to grow capabilities to perform position with greater efficiency annually
    • Maintain highest standards of accuracy and precision
    • Possess integrity and ethical character

    • Ability to think creatively, highly driven and self-motivated
