  • Overview

    The Interior Designer is responsible for designing, implementing, and refurbishing interior spaces of commercial food service projects.


    • Meet with clients to discuss their decorating needs, room layout plans, budget, and the functionality of a room or building.
    • Recommend and create fresh interior design ideas that capture the client’s taste.
    • Conduct the presentation of drawings as well as design development document sets for permit and construction.
    • Work with the CAD and Estimating project team during the bid process.
    • Partner with contractors, architects, painters, engineers, and vendors to ensure the project’s success.
    • Monitor the progress with team members of interior design projects to ensure it runs on time and within budget.
    • Specify finishes for projects; create finish boards, assist with 3D rendering and indesign presentation booklets.
    • Place orders for materials or equipment needed to complete work; Carefully inspect them upon delivery to ensure that they are in good condition.
    • Keep up-to-date on interior design trends.

    Ideal Candidate Will Possess the Following Skills and Abilities

    • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field from an accredited college or university.
    • Minimum of 3 years interior design experience.
    • Familiarity with computer-aided design software such as BIM (Revit) and able to read blueprints.
    • Proficiency with InDesign/Photoshop is a plus.
    • Must be creative and have the ability to conceptualize unique interior design ideas.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
    • Familiarity of building codes and safety inspection regulations.
    • Strong problem solving skills.
    • The ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
