Overview

Singer Equipment Company is looking for an Accounts Payable manager.  They will be responsible for managing a team of 5 AP Specialists, weekly payment runs, and an AP Software conversion.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise department staff to ensure process transactions accurately and timely
  • Develop professional relationship with vendor contacts
  • Process P-card transactions and ensure compliance with company expense policies
  • Manage weekly payment runs to optimize cash flow
  • Work with management to align department operations with the company’s strategic goals
  • Establishment and maintain team processes and best practices which enhance efficiencies

Ideal Candidate Will Possess the Following Skills and Abilities

  • Prior experience managing accounts payable or another department responsible for processing a large volume of transactions
  • Experience with bolt on AP systems (ex. Concur/Esker).
  • Bolt on conversion experience a big plus! 
  • Able to effectively manage employees, as well as indepependent workload and projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Outlook and Excel)
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles
  • High attention to detail
  • Able to investigate problems independently
  • Able to establish good working relationships with other departments
  • Can easily adapt to changes in daily routine
  • Willing and able to provide unplanned support to other team members
