Overview

Under the general direction of the Project Managers, the Project Coordinator is responsible for managing, organizing, and tracking project activities to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.  The Project Coordinator is an integral member of the project management team to coordinate resources, equipment, and information.  This position functions as a liaison between Project Managers, contractors, vendors and other stakeholders.

 

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the progress of project activities and regularly provide updates to assigned teams.
  • Partner with manufacturers and their representatives in order to resolve discrepancies such as missing or incorrect orders, ship dates, deliveries, unshipped freight and returned equipment
  • Manage logistics for the shipping and delivery of equipment for inbound, outbound, and offsite
  • Assist in filing freight claims and tracking claims until payment is received.
  • Assist with documentation of changes to the scope of work, including generation and tracking of change orders as required.
  • Coordinate project related equipment, resources, and other requirements including but not limited to cranes, forklifts, additional trucking, travel, temporary labor and pre-qualifications
  • Coordinate start-up appointments and commissioning of new equipment.

Ideal Candidate Will Possess the Following Skills and Abilities

High School diploma or equivalent; Minimum of 1 year of related experience; Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team environment; Must be able to work independently while handling multiple priorities and responsibilities; Must have strong problem-solving, time management, organization and customer service skills.  Strong verbal and written communication skills are required; Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.  Knowledge and experience with Quickbase a plus.

 

This position is frequently required to sit, hear, use close and peripheral vision as well as depth perception.  It also requires occasional standing, walking, bending stooping, and crawling.  May occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.

 

The standard hours are Monday – Friday from 8:30 am – 5 pm.
