Warehouse Dayshift Worker/Driver

Singer Kittredge Equipment Company is part of the largest foodservice equipment and supplies distributor in the mid-Atlantic and New England region. Our branch in Williston, Vermont is hiring an experienced full time Day Shift Deliver Driver to join their warehouse team.

The Day Shift Delivery Driver is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of commercial kitchen equipment or smallware’s and provide exceptional delivery service to our customers. While performing the duties of this role, the Delivery Driver must comply with all applicable health and safety regulations, policies, and established work practices. The Delivery Driver must be self-motivated with high energy and the ability to interact with individuals, while paying close attention to instructions. General hours are 7am-4pm; Monday to Friday but change from time to time based on routes. 

The responsibilities of the Day Shift Delivery Driver include, but not limited to:

• Represent Singer Kittredge in a professional manner that fosters positive relations with customers, vendors, subcontractors and coworkers. 
• Operate a 26-foot box truck or company vehicle while conducting daily truck inspections before departure. 
• Safely load, deliver, uncrate and assemble commercial kitchen equipment or smallware’s at customer sites. Equipment includes, bit is not limited to, walk-in coolers, freezers, hoods, ice machines, ovens and stainless-steel fabrication items such as sinks and worktables. 
• Efficiently communicate with customer(s) and/or supervisors using handheld devices.
• Ensure all work documentation is fully and accurately completed. This may include, but not limited to, job progress, invoices, collecting payment, punch lists, and taking photos to document work.
• Abide by all safety rules and regulations set by Singer Kittredge and/or OSHA which includes completing an OSHA training if not completed already.
• Follow direction from their supervisor as sometimes, this position will require picking orders, collecting trash, disposing equipment, dumping pallets and/or stocking shelves.
• Consult with customers and coworkers regarding solutions for customer issues where required

• High School diplomas or equivalent.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs and push up to 100lbs.
• Possess a clean driving record, obtain a valid license and pass a DOT Medical and Physical Examination.
• Work a varied work schedule to fulfill delivery of products to customers (dayshift hours but may include early mornings and/or late evenings).
• Provide excellent customer service, time management and communication skills while having a mechanically inclined mindset.
• Perform basic mechanical actions such as using basic hand tools, basic power tools, climb ladders, among other actions.
• Work well in a team environment with minimal supervision.

This position may require may periodically require overnights and may qualify for occasionally require prevailing wages for project work.
