The Receiving Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the Receiving Administrator.  


  • Creating, maintaining and entering receiving into the company’s inventory management system.
  • Assist warehouse team with tracking of receiving and inventory.
  • Work with receiving administrator to handle phones and e-mails pertaining to Accounts Payable.
  • Assist with organizing and inspection of inventory issues.
  • Answer door and assist customers picking up orders.
  • Organizing and filing of paperwork.
  • Responding professionally and appropriately to inquiries from Customers and Delivery Carriers.
  • Assist as needed with special projects.

Ideal Candidate Will Possess the Following Skills and Abilities

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • High School diploma
  • 1-2 years of strong experience with Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook required.
  • Strong data entry, communication, and organizational skills required.
  • 3-5 years of experience with receiving processes and inventory management preferred, but not required.
  • 1-2 years of experience with Prelude or a similar distribution company operating system a plus.
  • Experience working in a fast paced, team environment.



Physical Requirements

This is a normal office job that will be performed within the company’s Warehouse offices.  This job will require reading paper and electronic documents, word processing at a computer, and filing.  It also requires using normal office equipment (computers, telephones, copiers, printers, fax machines, shredders) and occasional lifting, up to 25 pounds.
