Overview

Reporting to the VP of Operations, the Inventory Control Manager will oversee all aspects of the Inventory Control Department to include multi-site Inventory Control Teams. 

Responsibilities

  • Directs cycle counting activities inclusive of designating bin locations to be counted
  • Directs and assigns aisle auditing
  • Conducts backorder investigations and communicates results to the requesting party
  • Rectifies on-hand inventory negatives and discrepancies
  • Reviews and assigns developing, print and replacing worn bin labels
  • Partners with the warehouse management team to investigate and resolve receiving and picking issues
  • Works with Purchasing and Sales on repacks and the need for set combinations
  • Removes inventory for disposition and checks product with sales and/or marketing department that may need photography or samples
  • Works with various departments to check stock for credit issues or counts for purchasing
  • Works with internal and external auditors such as banks or accounting firms
  • Reports discovered safety concerns to warehouse operations management
  • Responsible for quality control inspections, product testing, and recommendations for the disposition of this product
  • Oversee’s the transfer process, allocation of stock, and print of pick tickets/labels for specific customers
  • Works with locations for allocation of supply for janitorial and breakroom/event needs
  • Assists in recording of serial numbers for distribution sales
  • Conducts performance reviews and documents corrective actions
  • Involved in hiring, training and development of assigned personnel
  • Will perform other duties as assigned by the VP of Operations

Ideal Candidate Will Possess the Following Skills and Abilities

  • Computer skills required, knowledge of Prelude Epicor ERP system or equivalent required.
  • Preferred to have knowledge of the use of closed circuit camera systems or equivalent to assist in loss prevention.
  • Must be able to read, write and converse in English.
  • Math acumen required.
  • College Level Degree preferred or equivalent experience level in Inventory Control of 5+ years.
