Cost Accountant

The Cost Accountant reports to the Contract Finance Manager and is responsible for all job costing on Contract Jobs. Also responsible for the proper accounting close out on all Contract jobs.

• Partner with Manager to keep an up‐to‐date Contract Schedule
• Partner with Credit and Finance Department Admin to reconcile AIA Pay Applications in internal system.
• Oversee and manage costs being posted to jobs.
• Ensure all Purchase Orders associated with sales order are closed out when the job is completed.
• Make sure all credits and internal adjustments are applied to the jobs.
• Partner with sales teams to make sure all line items are released at the end of the job to ensure accurate accounting.
• Responsible for closing out jobs when all line items are released, vendor PO’s are paid, and all customer billings are complete.
• Work effectively and professionally with the entire Singer team.

• Education: BS/BA in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience
• Familiarity with AIA Billing preferred
• Competencies: Strong organizational, problem-solving, project management and communication skills.
• Other Requirements: Advance computer skills in Excel and other Microsoft office programs
