Overview

The Installation Technician is responsible for ensuring the successful installation of commercial kitchen equipment and exceptional service delivery to our customers. While performing the duties of this role, the Installation Technician must comply with all applicable health and safety regulations, policies, and established work practices. This position receives direction and close supervision from the Foreman and/or Project Managers.

 

Responsibilities

  • Installation of Food Service Equipment.  This includes: walk-ins, refrigerators, and freezers, ranges, dish machines.
  • Drive service and delivery truck to the intended destination or pick up equipment
  • Operate pallet jacks, high hacks, dollies and other related moving equipment
  • Use of cleaning equipment and chemicals for cleaning up equipment
  • Keep all company vehicles, equipment, tools, and premises clean and ready for use
  • Ensure doorways, elevators, and hallways are sufficient to allow equipment to safely and effectively be delivered
  • Other tasks assigned by supervisor

Ideal Candidate Will Possess the Following Skills and Abilities

 

 

  • High School Diploma
  • Lifting 50-75 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally higher weights are required
  • Climbing and carrying ladder up to 8ft.  Working on roofs of buildings will be required
  • Kneeling, squatting, bending, pushing, pulling, overhead reaching
  • Working indoors/outdoors, exposure to excessive noise, exposure to varied weather conditions i.e. cold, heat
  • Will need to be able to travel for overnight and multiple day job assignments
  • Must possess the ability to use a variety of hand and power tools including drills, saws, grinding wheels, hammers, screwdrivers, wrenches, sockets, tubing benders, files, etc.
  • Valid Driver's License is required
  • OSHA 30 Construction Certificate preferred  (T & L  Singer will provide training once employed)

 

Experience Needed:

  • Experience in handling expensive merchandise and freight
  • Previous work demonstrating organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Experience with using tools on a daily basis.  Personal tool box and tool collection desired
  • Mechanical experience preferred or construction experience
