Overview: As an Estimator, you'll be instrumental in ensuring the success of our bidding process. You'll collaborate closely with our team to analyze project requirements, prepare accurate proposals, and maintain crucial relationships with stakeholders.

 

 

***MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL TO BELCAMP, MD***

Responsibilities

 

  • Accurate Analysis: Dive into project specifications and scope statements to prepare meticulous project proposals.
  • Digital Savvy: Manage electronic systems such as AQ and Quickbase to input and organize project data effectively.
  • Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with manufacturer reps, general contractors, and project stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution.
  • Document Control: Monitor and update project documentation via the Ashland FTP site to ensure information is current and accessible.
  • Customer Engagement: Proactively engage with customers throughout the bidding process, providing updates and addressing queries promptly.
  • Precision in Pricing: Review project pricing to maintain accuracy and resolve any discrepancies swiftly.
  • Budget Management: Prepare project budgets and submit them punctually to meet customer expectations.

Ideal Candidate Will Possess the Following Skills and Abilities

Minimum Requirements:

  • Educational Background: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 year of related experience, with the ability to read drawings and strong basic math skills.
  • Team Player: Thrives in a collaborative team environment with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Customer Focus: Demonstrates outstanding customer service skills and builds rapport effortlessly.
  • Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail and thoroughness in all tasks.

Physical Demands:

  • This role involves a mix of desk work (sitting, using vision) and occasional physical tasks like standing, walking, and lifting (up to 25 lbs.).

Working Conditions:

  • Enjoy standard hours from Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5 pm, with flexibility for occasional evening and weekend hours based on business needs.
  • Travel up to 10% may be required to support project requirements.

 

Work Location: Belcamp, MD / Hybrid

Compensation: $62-$75K
