Rebate Analyst

• Conduct Rebate Audits: Ensure accuracy and address complex questions that arise from these audits. Serve as the point of contact for vendor-related rebate matters.
• Maintain Vendor Audit Checklist: Keep the checklist updated quarterly and annually.
• Manage Proof of Delivery (POD) Rebates
• Support the Rebate Manager: Assist in overseeing vendor and customer rebate programs, conducting audits, and performing various analyses using vendor management software, ERP software, BI tools, and other resources.
• Rebate Program Management: Accurately calculate and follow up with rebates both in the ERP system and through external reporting.
• Assist with generating and running reports.
• Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of internal procedures and protocols, enabling effective handling of requests and quick responses.
• Assist with data-cleansing and maintenance.
• Manage follow-ups and provide updates as required, maintaining open lines of communication and timely resolution.
• Cross-Department Interaction: Work closely with purchasing, sales, marketing, and finance departments.
• Data Monitoring: Continuously review purchase data to maximize opportunities for returns.
• Training: Be prepared to take the lead in the absence of the Rebate Manager.

Competencies and Other Requirements:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, or related fields.
• 1 to 2 years of experience in accounting, finance, business or related fields.
• Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external customers and maintain good working relationships.
• Computer and software proficiency (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, CRM)
• Intermediate experience with Excel (Vlookups and Pivot tables).
• Commitment to excellence with an attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all tasks with a deadline-driven work ethic.
• Strong, collaborative communication skills with a demonstrated high level of emotional intelligence
• Problem solving and critical thinking skills aimed toward process improvement.
• Strong organizational skills and as demonstrated by the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining efficient workflow and meeting deadlines.
• Initiative: Self-starter with the drive to identify areas for improvement.
• Demonstrated ownership mentality in all areas.
• Ability to work independently and with others in a fast-paced team environment.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex data with a keen attention to detail.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

• Rebate Experience: Prior experience with supplier rebates is preferred.
• BI/Data Warehouse Exposure: Experience with Business Intelligence or Data Warehouse tools is a plus.
