Overview

Position Overview: As a Fabrication Specialist, you will play a key role in the assembly and fabrication of custom stainless-steel tables, cabinets, sneeze guards, and other food service equipment components. Your expertise in fitting, welding, and ensuring adherence to customer-approved shop drawings will be crucial in delivering high-quality, precision-crafted products.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assembly & Fabrication: Assemble and fabricate custom stainless-steel tables, cabinets, sneeze guards, and other food service equipment components according to specifications.
  • Fitting & Welding: Fit and weld various stainless-steel parts to ensure structural integrity and alignment. Utilize TIG welding techniques as required.
  • Shop Drawings Compliance: Review and interpret customer-approved shop drawings to ensure all fabricated pieces meet design specifications and quality standards.
  • Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections of completed work to ensure accuracy, durability, and adherence to project requirements. Make adjustments as necessary.
  • Tool & Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain fabrication tools and equipment, including but not limited to welding machines, grinders, and cutting tools.
  • Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Report any hazards or safety concerns immediately.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including designers and project managers, to ensure timely and accurate project completion.

Ideal Candidate Will Possess the Following Skills and Abilities

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in stainless steel fabrication, including welding and assembly of custom food service equipment.
  • Licensing:  Must have an active Driver’s License with good driving record.
  • Certifications:  NSF and OSHA 30 certifications preferred. (If not currently certified, we will assist with certification.)
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in reading and interpreting shop drawings and blueprints. Strong knowledge of welding techniques (TIG) and fabrication tools.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on precision and quality in every aspect of the fabrication process.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during the fabrication process.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and maneuver heavy materials and work in various physical conditions, including standing for long periods.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Relevant technical training or certification in welding and fabrication is a plus.
