Overview

The Assistant Account Manager will work directly alongside the Account Manager to support a large national chain account. This role will assist in the daily management of customer relationships, order processing, and job execution from concept to completion. A core function of this position is to handle purchasing duties, ensuring timely and accurate procurement of equipment and materials needed for assigned jobs.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Account Manager in managing and maintaining daily account activity.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams including project management, design, and operations to ensure successful project execution.
  • Assist in the preparation and tracking of estimates, quotes, and orders using platforms such as AutoQuotes.
  • Manage purchasing for assigned jobs — creating purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and resolving vendor issues.
  • Communicate regularly with vendors, clients, and internal teams regarding project updates and purchasing status.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the client’s concept, equipment preferences, and purchasing standards.
  • Estimate jobs based on KEC drawings
  • Ensure all order-related documentation is accurate, organized, and up to date.
  • Maintain a positive, solutions-driven attitude in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of equipment
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of customer’s concept, equipment, operations, and decision maker’s
  • Some travel required

 

Ideal Candidate Will Possess the Following Skills and Abilities

  • 3 years of experience in the foodservice equipment industry or related field.
  • Strong purchasing or procurement experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with AutoQuotes strongly preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand kitchen equipment drawings.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Positive attitude with the ability to handle pressure and shifting priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Knowledge of Bluebeam a plus.

 

Work Location: Paterson, NJ / Remote - commutable to Paterson, NJ preferred

Compensation: $68-80K + Discretionary Bonus
