Responsibilities

We’re looking for a Smallwares Sales Specialist to serve as a hands-on resource for our sales teams and a subject matter expert in smallwares and tabletop solutions. This role plays a key part in helping us grow the category through smart support, strategic vendor programs, and effective collaboration across departments — without the responsibility of managing people or owning a full category P&L.

 

If you enjoy diving into product details, helping others win deals, and playing a connector role between vendors, purchasing, sales, and marketing — this role offers a unique opportunity to make a real impact.

 

Sales Support & Enablement

  • Act as the go-to resource for smallwares and tabletop products, helping reps build smarter quotes, recommend alternatives, and win more bundled deals.
  • Work closely with sales leaders, especially in contract sales, to identify and track smallwares opportunities tied to large equipment projects.
  • Share curated, sales-relevant updates from vendors — not just everything new, but what actually matters to the reps in the field.
  • Assist with quoting tools (e.g., AutoQuotes) and help navigate smallwares product availability, pricing, and substitutions.

Vendor & Program Support

  • Support the implementation of guaranteed inventory or consignment programs with ABC vendor partners — working with the supply chain and purchasing team.
  • Help identify and support private label or proprietary product opportunities that protect profitability.
  • Attend relevant industry conferences and trade shows to stay informed on new products, trends, and supplier programs.
  • Learn and promote Singer’s proprietary smallwares and disposables offerings, and recommend where they best fit into sales conversations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with the purchasing, eCommerce, and marketing teams to explore and support smallwares sales across multiple channels.
  • Collaborate with supply chain and internal teams on stock planning, gaps in assortment, or product sourcing needs tied to sales activity.

Ideal Candidate Will Possess the Following Skills and Abilities

  • 2–4+ years in foodservice equipment or supply sales, with strong knowledge of smallwares and tabletop products.
  • Comfortable supporting sales reps in a project-based or consultative selling environment.
  • Confident using quoting tools (AutoQuotes), ERP systems, and basic inventory platforms.
  • Strong communication and follow-through, especially when coordinating with multiple teams.
  • Ability to simplify product information and share it in ways that help reps sell more effectively.

Preferred Experience

  • Familiarity with Singer’s proprietary products and vendor network.
  • Experience working in or around purchasing, inventory, or eCommerce functions.
  • Attendance at trade shows or exposure to supplier/vendor line reviews.
  • An interest in helping others succeed and being a behind-the-scenes sales driver.
